Quality, Innovation and Relevance in Financial Education
The Institute of Financial Services supports and promotes professionalism in the regulated advice sector and the wider financial services industry. It does so through the provision of qualifications, continuing professional development services and through the dissemination of best practice. The Institute is a division of the ifs School of Finance, a registered charity, incorporated by Royal Charter and is recognised as an awarding organisation by Ofqual.
The Institute offers benchmark qualifications and on-going development services that meet the standards required for those giving professional advice on financial products such as retail investments and mortgages. It also offers qualifications that allow financial services practitioners to enhance knowledge and skills in specialist areas and in doing so support their careers and personal development.
All Institute qualifications are directly informed in terms of content and learning experience by the professional needs of its students. They are designed to be studied flexibly in order to fit in with students' work and personal commitments and they use real-life scenarios and case studies to provide students not just with enhanced knowledge but also the essential skills to apply that knowledge in practice.
As part of the ifs School of Finance, the only specialist financial education body that is able to award its own taught degrees, the Institute's programmes are of the highest academic quality. It is this unique combination of quality, innovation and relevance that makes the Institute the provider of choice for organisations and individuals seeking to improve knowledge, skills and career prospects in the area of finance and financial services.
